April 2010	Easter, with it's Bank Holiday Junior Dance Festival - mid-April, important dancing competition held at the prestigious Tower Ballroom
May 2010	Blackpool 10 km Promenade Fun Run - mid-May, a popular event supporting a number of local charities and attracting a broad spectrum of runners, many of which dress up in colourful costumes. The Fun Run passes many landmarks along the way and takes in much of the promenade Festival of Puppetry and Visual Theatre - mid-May, with workshops, theatrical events and exhibitions Dance Festival - late May - the British Latin-American and Ballroom Dancing Championships, hosted at the Winter Gardens and always attracting large crowds.
June 2010	Blackpool Marathon and Half Marathon - early June, starting at 09:00 at the Blackpool Tower and passing the seafront, Golden Mile and many other prominent sights Totally Transport - mid-June, a classic car event, with many lovingly restored cars, motorbikes and other vehicles from much of the last century
July 2010	Town Criers' Championships - mid-July, competition in the town centre, where the loudest voice wins. Ken Dodd - Grand Theatre July 17th Chubby Brown - July 24th

September 2010	Fireworks Championshipsfirst weekend of September Top firework companies from around the globe will be invited to stage firework displays on Central PromenadeCome and see this spectacle: afterwards we sit and reflect in the lounge, enjoying a hot Chocolate with.... to warm up and look forward to the next contestant! Beachvolleyball: We pride ourselves to be the host of one of the teams, very sportive people who will deserve your admiration for the high level of their sport! Blackpool Illuminations 4 September - 8 November 2009. Blackpool Illuminations are considered to be the greatest free light show on earth, which entertains millions of visitors between September and November time each year.
